NGC 891
Losmandy Titan, William Optics 110 Flourostar, SXV H9C + Guider
- 300 minutes
- Captured and processed Maxim DL, Photoshop
Another great set of conditions for this catch. Really crisp at -20C for most of it. This image was collected over a three week period. In previous tries I had difficulties keeping any star colour at all.

This object is a difficult capture for my equipment. There is a larger area to the west that holds the bulk of this reflection nebula and over the next few years I will add to a mosiac of the region. Very good conditions for most of February. I was pleased to pick up the nebulousity beside the bright 3.81 mag Omicron Persei.

On the processing I kept more noise to pick up the tidal tailings leaving the galaxy. My understanding is that this collision occured about 400 million years ago.

NGC 4248
Losmandy Titan, William Optics 110 Flourostar, SXV H9C + Guider
- 360 minutes
- Captured and processed Maxim DL, Photoshop
Here we are looking for a different composition on a popular object Messier 106. Using NGC 4248 as the center point provided for the capture of several other galaxies.

NGC 2419
Losmandy Titan, William Optics 110 Flourostar, SXV H9C + Guider
- 300 minutes
- Captured and processed Maxim DL, Photoshop
This globular cluster is a stiff test for my set up. It is large and bright but over 300,000 light years away. Recent findings suggest that the Wanderer has not left our galaxy but in fact takes an elongated route through our galaxy plane like other clusters. Neat stuff though.

The Crab Nebula
Losmandy Titan, William Optics 110 Flourostar, SXV H9C + Guider

The conditions were exellent for the first 120 minutes of this object. The Crab Nebula clears my observatory roof just as it passes the meridian. I was happy to keep some star colour.
